Moving Rooms?
- Do not take/move any technology (computer, printer, phone, etc.) to your new room, none of it follows you.
- If the technology (teacher desk) in your new room is not where you want it, do not move it – put a helpdesk ticket in to see if it can be moved for you
Not Returning?
- Your accounts will be disabled upon your contract termination. If you would like to keep your data (such as Google Drive), please see this article here on how to do that:

Need a device for school work over the summer?
- Please submit a ticket for a loaner device and we can provide you one, we can only provide a loaner if your needs are for HPS related work, not taking a course somewhere for PDPs/credit
Verify your technology (teacher desk) is summer-ready
- Do not leave any flash drives, USB dongles (for wireless mice, keyboards, etc.) or DVDs in any device, they will most likely be permanently lost if you do so.
- Please clean up personal items around/on your technology devices such as on your teacher desk – if there are personal items in the way of our technology maintenance/installations we will need to relocate them.
- Classroom technology will be disabled and unplugged for classrooms from 6/17 to 6/22, do not expect to use any classroom technology after 6/17!
Ensure everything is saved to your drive / not local on a Windows PC
- Anything you want to keep should be saved to your Google Drive (use the Google Drive application on Windows/PCs to simply drag and drop anything you want to move).
- Anything that is saved in a Windows PC downloads, desktop, ‘my documents’ or other local folder will be permanently lost.
- If you wish to keep your bookmarks, ensure you are logged into Chrome with Sync enabled OR you have backed up/saved your bookmarks manually.
Will my badge work during the summer?
- Yes, badges will work the same/normal schedule as they do during the school year.
- Please check with your building’s office schedule to ensure the alarm will be off and your room/resources are available.
When will my classroom be ready/available for use?
- All classrooms are emptied, cleaned, waxed and put back together by facilities. Once they are complete Technology will go in and reconnect/setup all technology.
- Please do not attempt to or plan to use/move any technology in your rooms until it is fully COMPLETE.
- We will generally post a room complete list for you to check the status of your room during the summer.

- Have a Chromebook/laptop as your teacher station?
Leave the device AND its charger on your teacher desk (not in drawers, please leave them in a visible spot). If you don’t have a desk/dedicated classroom, turn them in to the office (Cheri) - Have iPads for your classroom or for working with a student?

BBC Summer Work
- BBC will have no internet connectivity (no computers, phones, wireless) for a span of 3-4 weeks (start date is TBD) while we install a new server rack for all servers, switches and network infrastructure for the building and re-wire everything to that wire rack

(K & 1 classrooms ipads are not these, you do not need to do anything with the K/ & 1 classroom ipads, leave them in the charging stations, including your teacher one)

Students will be keeping their 1:1 Chromebooks over the summer.
Gr. 7 students will receive theirs during the first week of the 22-23 school year.
