This is a step-by-step tutorial on how to customize your Clever portal page.

Creating a new teacher page:

  1. Log into your Clever Portal
  1. Click the green “Add” button in the bottom-right of the page, then select “Page”.

This will bring you to a new, blank page.

  1. Add a title and description for your new page.
  1. Click the green “Add” button in the bottom-right of the page and choose from “Category”, “Link”, or “App”.

Category:

Clicking “Category” will add a category section to your page. More than one can be added to a page.

A: Create a name for the category.

B: Once an app is added to your page you can click and drag it into a category.

C: Mousing over the category will give you the options to move the entire category up, down, or remove it.

Link:

Clicking “Link” will bring up a panel on the right side of the page. Fill out all required fields.

A: Provide the web address of the page you wish to link. You can copy and paste the web address from the URL bar in the Chrome browser.

B: Create a name for your link.

C: Select which category you want the link to appear under.

D: Select an icon for the link to appear as.

E: Click “Add link” when you are done.

App:

Clicking “App” will bring up a panel on the right side of the page where you can search for an app.

IMPORTANT: The app must be one that has been provisioned by the district.

Once you have found the app you want to add. Click the blue “add …” button.

The app will be placed on the page under a “recently added” section.

You can click and drag the app icon into one of your created categories.

The “recently added” section can be removed just like the categories. (See category section, part C)

Editing / Removing icons:

To edit an icon, move your mouse over the icon and click “Edit”.

This will bring up a new panel on the right side of the page.

Click the “Remove icon” button to remove the icon. 

  1. Click on “Edit student sharing” on the left side of the page.

This will bring up a new window.

  1. Set how you wish for your page to be shared.

By default, the page will be set to only be seen by you.

Once you are done click the “Save” button.

If shared with students, the page will become available on their Clever portal.
