Google Classroom Originality Report (Plagiarism & Citation Checker)

When you turn on originality reports, you and your students can check work for authenticity. Originality reports use Google Search to compare a student’s work against billions of webpages and millions of books. Originality reports link to the detected webpages and flag uncited text. The reports can:

  • Help students identify unintentional plagiarism and uncited content before submitting assignments.
  • Help teachers see where students used source material and where citations are present or missing.
  • Used For: ELA, Reading, Writing, General Teaching, Remote Teaching, Quiz / Test, Grading, General
  • Available To: All of District, All of MES, All of JSHS, Grade K, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, Grade 12
